how did you manage to get so many babies ? Have you removed the female ? Your tank was very planted ?

This summer i, like every year in that period, put my fishes outside in small ponds...
because of their age i decided to put my old male and old female alone in a single 50l "tank/pond"

My thought was: "they are so old....they are no going to breed again..."...men...i was TERRIBLY WRONG.

In the next week i saw 3 nests each one full of eggs...in the end i removed the female because she was too pressed by the male and i let the father pass the summer with his kids.

Last month when i put all the fish back to indoor i realize in which situation i'm now :°D

Hope to find a new home for everyone of them, and i hope to be able to bring some at your meeting in 2014

I think that you will not have pain to find them adopting.

I had only 5 or 6 fry of the last mating of my couple of betta splendens. I don't discourage to having as much as you one day !

For us in Italy is hard to find many hobbysts that are able to mantain fishes rare like these...we are trying to spread awareness in breeding and mantaining fishes the best we can, but it's an hard work

j'ai retrouvé 6 petits au final, j'espère avoir mâles et femelles. Je vais tous les garder (désolée), mais c'est pour tenter + sérieusement de les reproduire et pouvoir diffuser.
